We’re thrilled to share some exciting news: our CEO and Co-Founder, Adam Temple, has been named a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40® Award for 2026!
Since 1995, Canada’s Top 40 Under 40® has recognized exceptional young leaders from across the country. These are professionals who are pushing their industries forward while making a real impact in their communities. Honourees are chosen by an independent advisory board of 18 respected leaders, based on career progression, leadership, vision and innovation, community involvement, and overall impact. Past recipients have gone on to become some of the country’s most prominent CEOs, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, so this is genuinely great company to be in.
A journey that started in Northern Alberta
Adam co-founded Inline Group back in 2012, growing it from a small startup in Northern Alberta into a national platform that now employs more than 550 people across geomatics, materials testing, and geotechnical engineering services. Along the way, Inline has become a trusted partner on some of Canada’s largest industrial, infrastructure, mining, and energy projects, and built a reputation for technical excellence, operational agility, and a people-first culture rooted in humility, hard work, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This year Adam led the transformational acquisition and integration of Challenger Geomatics, significantly expanding Inline’s national presence and positioning the organization as one of Canada’s leading geomatics and engineering field service providers. The integration was guided by Adam’s belief that growth should strengthen culture — not dilute it — with a strong emphasis on transparency, decentralized leadership, and empowering local teams.
Ownership, culture, and the long game
A key part of Adam’s leadership philosophy has been building broad employee ownership throughout the organization. Inline’s employee ownership model was designed to align long-term thinking, reward builders within the company, and create meaningful wealth creation opportunities for team members at multiple levels of the business. Adam believes ownership changes how people think, lead, and collaborate, helping create a culture where employees act like true partners in the company’s success.
Adam built Inline with a desire to challenge the status quo within the industry and create a company people are genuinely proud to work for. He is passionate about proving that high performance and strong culture can coexist, and that businesses can grow quickly while still maintaining humility, authenticity, and care for their people.
His long-term vision is to build a world-class Canadian professional services company that sets a new benchmark for leadership, culture, employee ownership, and client service.
Beyond the office
Beyond business, Adam is actively involved in leadership and community initiatives, including serving on the board of Kids with Cancer Society of Northern Alberta and participating in YPO Alberta.
Outside of business, Adam is passionate about endurance sports and personal development, having completed multiple ultramarathons while balancing the demands of leading a rapidly growing national organization and raising a young family. He believes strongly in the connection between physical wellness, mental resilience, and effective leadership, and encourages a culture of growth, discipline, and continuous improvement both personally and professionally.

When we asked Adam who he’d credit for this recognition, he didn’t hesitate:
“My wife, Christina. Without her, none of this is possible. And of course, my team. My Senior Leadership Team are an amazing group of people, and so is the broader Inline team. So many people have contributed to building Inline into what it is today; we have people who’ve been with us since day one and continue to make an impact.”
When it comes to what’s next for Inline, his excitement is obvious:
“We’re still a young company, and we’re fortunate to have so many people who keep pushing themselves and pushing us forward. It’s an exciting place to call ‘work’.”
