We believe that investing early in development can shape the direction of someone’s career. Kobi Poirier’s journey shows how that growth can happen.

Kobi joined Inline as a co-op student in a Junior Project Coordinator role. Today, he serves as Project Administrator Manager, leading teams and helping drive project success across the organization.

His career path reflects a strong part of our culture: giving people the chance to take on new challenges and grow into leadership roles.

Starting Strong

Kobi’s career at Inline began through a co-op placement, giving him early exposure to project work, team collaboration, and the day-to-day realities of the industry.

Inline partners with post-secondary institutions across Canada to create opportunities for students and early-career professionals. Through co-op placements and entry-level roles, team members gain hands-on experience and support from experienced colleagues.

For Kobi, mentorship played a major role in his development.

“What helped me grow most was having access to outstanding mentors within the company,” he says. “I’m grateful for the support of managers, site leads, and colleagues who consistently offered guidance and valuable feedback. Their willingness to teach and share advice pushed me to step outside my comfort zone and keep improving.”

Growing Into Leadership

Career growth requires support and opportunities to develop new skills. Throughout his career, Kobi strengthened his leadership capabilities through hands-on experience and professional development programs.

“Inline has provided numerous opportunities for me to develop leadership skills,” he explains. “Leadership workshops and courses helped me build confidence and capability in guiding teams and projects.”

We believe leadership is built through performance, initiative, and commitment. We support that growth through mentorship, technical training, leadership programs, and opportunities to explore different roles across the business.

Advice for Those Starting Their Career

For students and early-career professionals entering the workforce, Kobi offers practical advice:

“It’s okay not to know everything at the start of your career. Seize every opportunity to learn something new, seek constructive feedback, and collaborate with others. Building relationships and staying open to continuous improvement are key to professional growth.”

Kobi’s advice speaks to the kind of environment we work to build, where people are encouraged to ask questions and keep developing.
