Project Details

The Goose Project, situated in southwestern Nunavut, is one of Canada’s most significant emerging gold developments. Spanning an 80-kilometre district and consisting of six distinct deposits, the site is located roughly 520 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. With leadership from B2Gold, the project highlights the Arctic’s growing role in Canada’s resource economy, advancing both economic opportunity and environmental responsibility in the Kitikmeot region.

Inline was engaged to deliver precision surveying and comprehensive material testing—critical functions in the successful development of mining projects in extreme northern environments. Our team brings resilience and technical expertise to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency throughout construction. Inline’s surveying scope included high-precision process plant and structural layouts for the mill, crusher, power plant, and processing facilities, along with mine development surveys supporting open-pit layouts, grade control, and expansion monitoring. Our crews provided construction support and as-builts for foundations, roads, and utilities, while also managing volume and quantities tracking for ore stockpiles, waste dumps, and earthworks. Blast pattern design and mapping ensured safe, efficient blasting operations, and civil and infrastructure surveys supported the construction of camps, haul roads, ponds, dams, mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, and airstrip upgrades. Inline’s CAD and data management services included AutoCAD support and the production of detailed as-built deliverables to keep the project on track and aligned with design intent.

Our materials testing contributions covered both field and laboratory services, including soils and aggregate testing for compaction, gradation, and density verification under permafrost conditions. Inline also performed comprehensive concrete testing—monitoring slump, compressive strength, and temperature—to ensure structural integrity in Arctic extremes. Each testing program was tailored to northern conditions and executed in full compliance with industry standards. Quality assurance and control documentation supported long-term durability and regulatory compliance, reinforcing Inline’s commitment to dependable performance in one of Canada’s harshest environments.
