Project Details
The LNG Canada (LNGC) Project in Kitimat, BC, is one of the largest energy infrastructure undertakings in Canadian history, encompassing a site footprint larger than 600 city blocks. Inline was engaged by Soletanche Bachy Canada (SB Canada) to provide full survey and technical support during the installation of more than 4,800 piles—a critical foundation element for the LNG plant and export terminal.
Inline delivered a comprehensive package of survey, UAV, and geotechnical services, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance throughout the piling program. Our survey team provided precision pile layouts, daily as-built reporting, and continuous monitoring of pile heave and settlement. Additional efforts included control establishment, site scouting, and ongoing survey support to maintain alignment and consistency across the site. Crane orientation layouts were developed to promote safe and efficient equipment movement in the congested work areas. From a geotechnical perspective, Inline executed PDA testing with full analysis and reporting, along with plate load testing to validate foundation performance. Compaction, soil, concrete, and aggregate testing were also performed to maintain construction integrity and ensure adherence to engineering specifications. Complementing these field services, our UAV specialists conducted aerial mapping, progress inspections, and real-time visualization to support crane coordination and site monitoring, enhancing project accuracy and communication.
