In 2019, Inline was hired by Cord to provide both survey and material testing services throughout the Trans Mountain Expansion. Everyday we have field crews travelling to one of the various pump stations or working hard at the Edmonton Terminal. Having begun within the oil and gas industry, Inline has extensive experience with Our in-office AutoCAD technicians are in constant communication with the field teams, compiling data, updating, and revising drawings.

Project Details

Having been built in 1953, the original Trans Mountain Pipeline is still operating safely today. The approximately $12.6 billion Expansion constitutes of effectively twinning this existing 1,150-kilometre pipeline from Strathcona County, Alberta to Burnaby, BC. 73% of the project will use the existing right-of-way and 16% will follow other existing infrastructure routes, with just 11% comprising of new right-of-way. The new pipeline system will over double the current nominal capacity, increasing from approximately 300,000 barrels per day to 890,000 barrels per day. Cord has been contracted as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contractor for the Edmonton Terminal and 12 pump stations included in the Trans Mountain Expansion Project.
